Our Story

Since 2001, VITO has been at the forefront of oil filtration technology, transforming how commercial kitchens around the world manage their frying oil. Founded by Andreas Schmidt in Tuttlingen, Germany, VITO started with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a filtration system that helps restaurants save money, improve food quality, and reduce waste. VITO began with a question: “Can we filter frying oil to make it last longer?” Andreas Schmidt, an engineer passionate about innovation, took on this challenge. He left his secure job to focus on developing a solution that would benefit kitchens everywhere. By 2001, the first VITO oil filtration system was ready, helping restaurants extend the life of their oil and enhance the taste of their fried foods.
